PRODUCT UPDATE: You cannot compare this set to any similar sets online, because we are now replacing the art brushes in this set. These brushes cost us as much as the entire Chinese calligraphy set. We decided to upgrade the brushes because those included in these sets (and similar sets sold online) are not suitable for writing, and we want to offer you a product you can actually use, so you may learn to write Chinese calligraphy.

This is an excellent large Chinese calligraphy set for anyone who would like to practice or is already skilled at Chinese brush painting or calligraphy. The gift box measures 11x7.5 inches. This calligraphy set includes six brushes, ink stone or "Ink well", black ink stick, a porcelain water dish, spoon shaped mixer, a Chinese seal or "chop", paper weight to hold the rice paper down while painting, porcelain brush rest and a porcelain container of red seal ink for sealing your finished calligraphy paintings.

You Chinese seal will be carved so you may seal your finished artworks. The seal will be carved for you by a professional artisan and arrive separately in 14-21 days. These calligraphy sets come come in beautiful gift boxes so they make excellent gifts, in fact they look so nice I have even seen them used to decorate a home.
