This Chinese calligraphy scroll painting contains a proverb meaning "If the son is not educated, the father is to blame" mounted onto a traditional Chinese wall scroll made of white silk brocade. The Chinese proverb contained on this scroll is based on the belief that a father has the duty and responsibility to make sure his children are educated. In old China in general only sons would go to school, though this is no longer true and both parents do their best to make sure all of their children get a good education.
The calligraphy painting was written by Beijing, China artist Xie Tian Hai. This is a one hundred percent hand painted Chinese art work, and the overall size including the scroll is 13.5 x 31 inches.
